Connect DFW – Authentic Relating Games

Every day we walk around using communication. It is a baseline of all of our interactions and relationships, maybe even jobs. It can be a source of understanding and compassion, as well as a place where we get stuck, frustrated and maybe even isolated or injured.

Our mission at Connect DFW is to learn new tools to upgrade our communication and help us find more satisfying connections, healthier ways of relating and more ease and ability to express how we are actually feeling. We come together and play a variety of games, usually based around a theme or topic, so that we can really get a better idea of both self and other. Through the journey of the evening, we work on getting our ideas out in the room and also being able to hear others with compassion and understanding. We weave together so that we can see the spectrum of humanity and the multitude of viewpoints, expanding our concepts of each other and the topics we circle. Games can help teach us to be more present and true to ourselves while staying connected to others. During the exercises, we may meet new people, make new friends, and possibly even learn something new about ourselves. Connect DFW is a new take on an already made platform. We spring out of SpeakUP DFW, started by Dr. Jessica Tartaro and Authentic Relating Dallas Group. We are continuously inspired by the growing communities of the Austin Connection Corps and Authentic communities worldwide. Come play with us!
