Church in the Cliff is not a traditional Church.

But let’s go someplace rather traditional to prove our point. It is said that the word of God is living and active. (Hebrews 4:12) We feel that is a pretty accurate reflection of who we are as a community and what we are trying to do.

In a nut shell, Church in the Cliff is an avant garde, emergent, truth seeking community of faith based in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas, Texas.

We’re also not nearly as hung up on the meaning of the Bible 2000 or even 200 years ago, but rather what does the word of God mean to us living in our world today. And frankly, to determine this we are committed to living in the world. And asking questions. And deconstructing. And hopefully also reconstructing.

But to really understand who we are, you should meet us. We’re usually found at 11am on Sunday mornings at Kidd Springs Rec Center, often with lattes in hand.
